About the Book:

Türkiye is advancing its economy toward a comprehensive green transformation by adopting its first Climate Law, in line with its 2053 net-zero emissions target. As market-based instruments such as the Emissions Trading System (ETS) and carbon markets are introduced, infrastructure investments are increasingly concentrated in areas including renewable energy, the circular economy, climate-resilient cities, and green transportation. At the same time, the growing influence of international standards—such as the EU Taxonomy and the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle—in project financing has clearly highlighted the need for a comprehensive and practice-oriented guide to sustainable infrastructure. In response to this transformation process, the book “Climate-Resilient Sustainable Infrastructure” has been prepared with the aim of providing engineers and planners with a reliable reference resource. The work is designed to bridge the gap between climate science, legal governance, and engineering practice. Prepared with contributions from experts in academia, engineering, climate physics, and law, this publication seeks to address sustainable infrastructure from a holistic and interdisciplinary perspective.
