Furkan Çakmak is leading a new BAP SUP‑coded project on the one‑way shear response of post‑tensioned ultra‑high‑performance concrete beams with internal unbonded tendons
Dr. Cakmak has recently granted a new BAP SUP-coded project to explore the one-way shear response of post-tensioned ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) beams with internal unbonded tendons.
An experimental program will be conducted to investigate the one-way shear response of post-tensioned UHPC beams with internal unbonded tendons—a promising frontier in modern bridge and building design.
Dr. Cakmak and his MSc. student Tosif Ghazi will perform the experimental work in Structures Lab at Kandilli Campus. The team will develop a novel prediction methodology to accurately predict the one-way shear capacity of post-tensioned UHPC beams with internal unbonded tendons. The methodology will be validated against laboratory test results.
