Seminar: Geotechnical and Construction Considerations of Pile Foundations in Problematical Soils
Professor Askar Zhussupbekov,Head and Professor of Civil Engineering Department at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and President of Kazakhstan Geotechnical Society, will be delivering a talk on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. The talk, entitled "Geotechnical and Construction Considerations of Pile Foundations in Problematical Soils", will take place at Vedat Yerlici Conference Center, room #2, 14:00-16:00 hrs.
Abstract:
The lecture presents a Geoinformation system developed for Astana region; Results of static, dynamic, pile integrity and O-cell tests from Astana and Caspian Sea projects; Geotechnical considerations for high rise buildings in Astana’s problematic soils; Construction of pile foundations for MegaHighway projects in difficult soil ground.
