A seminar will be given by Alp Gökalp, Projects Coordinator at Kasktaş A.Ş., on Thursday, December 1st, 2016. The seminar will take place in VYKM Room 2 between 14:00 and 15:30. The scope of the seminar, entitled "Innovations in Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering, Current Excavation Support and Deep Foundation Applications," is presented below.

"In recent years, with the developments in the construction sector both in Turkey and in the surrounding region, geotechnical and foundation engineering design and implementation activities have diversified considerably. In particular, deep foundation systems and excavation support projects of various engineering structures within the scope of energy and petrochemical plants, highways, bridges, viaducts, tunnels, ports, and other mega projects have been successfully carried out using state-of-the-art geotechnical and foundation engineering applications. Within the scope of this presentation, it is aimed to provide information on the design, construction phases, and the quality control and occupational health and safety programs followed during implementation of several current special and prestigious projects."
